Davide Frattesi scores late winner to secure 2-1 victory

Inter Milan moved back to the top of Serie A with a hard-fought 2-1 victory over Udinese on Monday, courtesy of a dramatic stoppage-time winner from Davide Frattesi.

The Nerazzurri had fallen behind to a first-half strike from Udinese's Beto, but goals from Hakan Calhanoglu and Federico Dimarco turned the game on its head before Frattesi's late heroics.

The win sees Inter move 14 points clear of second-placed Roma, while Udinese remain 12th in the table.

Inter started the game brightly and had the majority of the possession, but it was Udinese who took the lead against the run of play in the 22nd minute.

Beto was the goalscorer, heading home from close range after a cross from Destiny Udogie.

Inter fight back to take the lead

Inter responded well to going behind and drew level just seven minutes later through Calhanoglu.

The Turkish midfielder curled a superb free-kick into the top corner from 25 yards out.

Inter continued to press for the winning goal and were rewarded in the 66th minute when Dimarco fired home from the edge of the area.

Frattesi wins it at the death

Udinese almost snatched a point in the dying minutes when substitute Isaac Success hit the post. However, Inter would have the final say.

In the first minute of stoppage time, Frattesi was on hand to tap home from close range after a cross from Federico Chiesa.

The goal sparked wild celebrations from the Inter players and staff, as they moved a significant step closer to winning their first Serie A title since 2011.
